  1. - To create a new module, just put it under ccan/ and run ccanlint on
  2. it; it's designed to tell you what to improve (and you can ignore it!).
  3. - When you're happy, Sign off your commit as detailed below, send to
  4. the mailing list as a patch (https://lists.ozlabs.org/listinfo/ccan )
  5. - We'll ask for your ssh key so you can push updates to your module(s).
  6. Cheers!
  7. The CCAN Maintainers.
  8. (Taken from Linux Kernel's Documentation/SubmittingPatches:)
  9. To improve tracking of who did what, especially with patches that can
  10. percolate to their final resting place in the kernel through several
  11. layers of maintainers, we've introduced a "sign-off" procedure on
  12. patches that are being emailed around.
  13. The sign-off is a simple line at the end of the explanation for the
  14. patch, which certifies that you wrote it or otherwise have the right to
  15. pass it on as an open-source patch. The rules are pretty simple: if you
  16. can certify the below:
  17. Developer's Certificate of Origin 1.1
  18. By making a contribution to this project, I certify that:
  19. (a) The contribution was created in whole or in part by me and I
  20. have the right to submit it under the open source license
  21. indicated in the file; or
  22. (b) The contribution is based upon previous work that, to the best
  23. of my knowledge, is covered under an appropriate open source
  24. license and I have the right under that license to submit that
  25. work with modifications, whether created in whole or in part
  26. by me, under the same open source license (unless I am
  27. permitted to submit under a different license), as indicated
  28. in the file; or
  29. (c) The contribution was provided directly to me by some other
  30. person who certified (a), (b) or (c) and I have not modified
  31. it.
  32. (d) I understand and agree that this project and the contribution
  33. are public and that a record of the contribution (including all
  34. personal information I submit with it, including my sign-off) is
  35. maintained indefinitely and may be redistributed consistent with
  36. this project or the open source license(s) involved.
  37. then you just add a line saying
  38. Signed-off-by: Random J Developer <random@developer.example.org>
